We have been to Yosemite before in July 2008, and it was no where closer to being a good trip leave alone a memorable one. It was hot, the waterfalls were just flowing down in needles and it was so crowded since it was a long weekend and parking was a challenge. But this time we decided to go in spring and on a regular weekend to avoid the crowd. Took the day off on friday to make it a 3 day trip.
Day 1
It was almost a 4 hr drive to Yosemite. The waterfalls were gushing, weather was perfect. It was so green everywhere and we loved every part of our trip. The very first place we covered was the tunnel point, after which we went on to see Bridalveil falls. Our last stop for the first day was Lower Yosemite falls. We had to do little bit of hiking to see the falls. Best part of these falls, you could get soaked by not even getting close to the falls. They dont let you get very close to the falls. Most of them have a footbridge or viewing section to see the falls.

Day 2
We decided to hike to the Vernal falls today and if possible cover wawona and Mariposa groves. We had our breakfast and drove to the Vernal falls parking lot. It was a good 45 mins steep hike to the foot bridge and the trail to go near to the falls (Mist Trail steps) was closed that day since the trail was very slippery. Even though it is considered medium strenuous hiking, both me and the husband got very exhausted.

After taking a short break back in the room, we refreshed, had our lunch and decided to head to Mariposa groves. We drove to a place called Wawona, from where we had to take a shuttle bus to Mariposa. Once we reached Mariposa, we were surrounded by giant grizzly sequoia trees. Even to look up and find out how tall these trees were, wasnt very easy. The hike inside the forest was pretty refreshing and we all felt like lilliputians amongst those giant trees.
Day 3
Today we wanted to do another trip to Bridalveil and Yosemite falls just to get soaked again. When we got up in the morning and opened the curtains, all we could see was it was white snow everywhere around us. Even our car was half buried in snow. I couldnt help smiling that my wish got granted so soon. It was nice to see snow fall like thermocol. Well it did bring the back breaking shoveling part as well, but it was all worth the fun. Weather forecast wasnt any better for the rest of the day and our only concern was to get home safely. We decided to eat our bfast and pack our stuff and leave the valley as early as possible to get to the main lands and lower altitude. A green forest had turned in to snow white over night and it was definitely very pleasing. I could only think of this song from Roja

To sum it up it was an awesome trip on the whole!
