From a "New Year New Post" to "Oh my gosh it is six months+ already in to the new year??". I am currently in that phase. This year had shaky start on the health front, then took off fine. Post covid, things started opening up and so did schools in India. It was good to see kids go back to their happy place, where they should have spent their childhood in bliss the last two years. After all the online classes and going remote saga, am more than happy that normalcy has been restored for these school going kids.
On the work front managed to work on dual projects, of which one went live (unfortunately during the time I was on vacation). Seeing a project go live after these many years felt very nice and made me feel accomplished and whole.
We did a vacation at Uttarakhand during the summer 2022. It was a good break for all of us. Watching the ganges flow at lightning speed, water gushing everywhere around the northern plains, was a sight to behold. Totally took my breath away. You could just watch her for hours together and not get bored of it. It felt like you are at peace with yourself watching nature. We also did a white water rafting in the ganges, man it was super thrilling, I guess putting it in one word doesnt make any justice to the experience.
The Ganga Aarthi, watching snow peaked Himalayas (though mist decided to not show us the Nanda Devi), the Nanda devi temple, the beautiful lakes, lush green mountains - was all so refreshing to the mind and body.
We also attempted the zip line, rode a cycle on top of a rope, cave tours all in a day's time. The trek to a nearby falls (Bhaalu Ghad) was worth the walk. Any tour is not complete without shopping for the local stuff and souvenir. This vacation was a trip where the transformation in temperature was fridge to furnace to heater( return journey I mean).
This was a rush rush post where in I wanted to post something owing to the gap between the posts.
