The 49ers game

Husband and I went to the 49ers game in mid November, that was held in the candlestick park. Easy availability of tickets, perfect weather and the growing interest in the game made us go for the game. My husband was more keen in seeing a football game in the stadium, just feel the fever of the crowd and have fun.  Weather did turn out to be good and so was the game. Once we got into the stadium, we were almost 2 hours early, before the game started. Had packed our lunch, & promptly sat in our seats. The stadium was pretty empty, atleast 30mins prior to the game started. Majority of the crowd came in the last 30 minutes and filled the stadium.

The 49ers are the official football team of San Francisco city and they were playing against the St. Louis Rams. It was a game worth watching, what with all screaming and hoopla along with the crowd. I could relate it to the cricket fever back home. The game was all the way a struggle for 49ers. They were known for making simple things harder for them. After the teams had played all the 4 quarters the score was tied at 20 for both the teams. Thankfully the 49ers managed to win the game in extra time with a field goal making the score 23.

What I liked:

• Game itself and the perfect weather
• Crowd which behaved decently
• a weekend ending on a good note
• The 49ers winning. (kaasum kuduthu home team thokkara match paakara kodumai - tell me about it

Dislikes:

• The decent crowd making the entire stadium a trash bin :(
